This dash cam comes with an sd card already installed, so you basically just have to mount the camera, adjust the time/date and recordings settings, then you are ready to go. If your car has 12v plug ins (cig lighter port) you can plug this in and it will automatically start once the car is on. However, if you have a car that does not turn on the 12v power even when turned off, you will need to unplug this camera or else it'll keep running.The image quality at 1080p for the main front cam is plenty clear for safety purposes, reading license plates can be a bit challenging depending on weather/time of day conditions, but it works well enough for me. The reverse facing camera attaches to the main body ad is angle adjustable.The manual is a bit mediocre, as to be expected honestly, but if you have some technical know how you'll be fine. If you want to access the recordings you can either connect the camera to your computer and/or remove the sd card and use a card reader.Honestly, I put this on my front window in the middle of an arctic chill with temps dipping down to the -20s/-30s at night, and the suction cup mount is still holding strong weeks later. I'm not sure how it will handle the summer heat, but that's months away so I have no way of knowing yet.

I got this because I wanted to be able to record both the road and the interior at the same time. I don’t need a rear end camera necessarily. So for the features, I just mentioned I wanted, there is virtually no set up required. You can mount the camera to your window And begin recording immediately! I like how handy and easy to use this was, but my only complaint is that the video quality isn’t great. It would work in most cases if you needed evidence of a collision or whatever, but it doesn’t do great at adjusting to various light intensities such as when it gets really sunny out or is dark.

Only had it a few months and the camera stopped working it just got all blurry
