Bought for a JD 2520 sub compact. After plugging in, I bench tested it and it is not wired correctly. Unfortunately I was past my return window by the time I got it installed and realized it doesn’t work.

I purchased this for a John Deere 2320 compact tractor. Upon receiving the unit I tested the resistance at the pins before connecting to my tractor to verify that it was to spec. This regulator does not match the spec chart that is in the John Deere tech manual. I have not connected it to my tractor to see if it could work. I don’t trust a part that doesn’t test correct. Unfortunately this part can not be returned according to Amazon so my only hope is that I can save someone else from making the same mistake.

I bought this for my john deere 4010 compact tractor when I looked up the price from Deere. They wanted almost $140. This does the same thing for $100 less.

Works perfectly. I purchased the dynamo from same vendor earlier ( my original was rebuilt 2 x the windings finally shortened out) then found out my regulator was bad as well. I purchased from the same vendor and got a quality product made in Taiwan ( better quality than my 2 made Made in China ones. A little research shows Taiwan has a better quality control) voltage at idle 13v at max throttle 15.2v.
