Good output characteristics, linear operation, not a switching supply that tends to be electrically noisy. Very competitive price and so far excellent noise and stability characteristics.

I purchased as a backup for powering electronic circuit boards in development. Since there is no easy way to adjust the current before turning on the output, the supply is seldom used. The expensive lab supplies do that, but cost a lot more.
