It took some time to get it hooked up. (I'm not as young as I used to be.) The tiny screws were, uh, challenging. It fired right up. Fixed a free lathe, in about an hour.

Nice inexpensive DC motor controller. Very easy to wire up , has built in on/ off switch. I bought 3 and they all work

Used this to replace a speed control on a Delta Delta 46-460 wood lathe. A little tricky wiring it up so I could keep my reverse switch. I have at least 40 hours on it with no problems, I do keep a small fan blowing on it but I have not noticed any heat issues. Good product, great price

The controller works well with my Leeson 1/4 hp permanent magnet DC motor! However, I need a kill switch for safety! If it were not for the picture on Amazon, I would have no clue. Unfortunately the manufacturer is too unprofessional to supply ANY !&*@*#*! instructions ! Do you dead short the terminals, use a finite resistance? Will a dead short fry the controller?? I will ask a Chinese friend to translate the hanzi when he stops laughing!!

This Chinese controller would not run on anything but FAST, almost causing my motor to loose everything it had.For the life of me I can't figure how the other reviewer's gave it 5 stars. It's just junk, plane and simple!
