The battery on my Dell Latitude 5580 had stopped charging. I had replaced the battery when I got low battery alert messages but the new battery started showing reduced capacity right away. Researching the issue further, I found the charge jack could be the issue. After removing the back of the laptop, this jack was easy to replace with the removal of one small screw and plugging in a small connector. Laptop is working like new again.
