After installing the Whiteline sway bar, subframe/differential bushings and sway bar brace my BRZ was exhibiting some creaking on uneven surfaces. The sway bar brace mounts to a tab that extends off the subframe which on the BRZ subframe appears to flex and is visually different than the FRS/GT86 rear subframe. I'm not sure why there are differences but after an extensive search, the sway bar mounting tabs on the rear subframe are different in design depending on the chassis you have.I suspected there was a lot of flex (when driving on uneven surfaces) on the sway bar tab due to the Whiteline adjustable sway bar set to medium exceeding oem strength yield.Anyhow, this fixed it. If you have all the Whiteline bits and experience creaking in the rear this product will eliminate it. I don't have a the other two arms for the front mounts on the rear subframe but definitely intent to purchase them.Overall, this is a simple install and apparently works in locking the rear mounts together (where the sway bar tabs branch off from). On the driver side (if you have the oem exhaust) removing and installing the brace is a little tight. All you need is either a 4-6" extension, 19mm socket, and torque wrench capable of 107ft lbs. Car does not have to be jacked up level but take your time and hand thread the subframe bolt before ratcheting it in. Remember, those female threads are on the body. FYI the factory service manual says the subframe bolts have to be replaced once removed. I'm assuming they are tty bolts so keep that in mind before installing. The bolts come from the factory with red thread locker present on the the threads.I reused my subframe bolts. LOL. Buuuuuuut I have been rechecking the torque periodically without any change.
