Installed on the driver's side of the vehicle, the frame mounted step provides a lower stepping surface. It may not retract like the more expensive options but if all you need is a step then this more than does the job.

Very simple but useful product. Easily attaches to the truck frame using the existing bolts that attach the rear bumper to the frame. Holding the step in position at the corner of the bumper you can easily see which 2 bolts line up for the bracket. The description says that it will not fit the Ram Classic with dual exhaust but it does with no problem. Remove the 2 bolts, line up the step bracket and reinstall the bolts, job done.A little more clearance between the step and the bumper would be nice. Wearing boots might make it a tight fit for firmly placing your foot on the step pad. Other than that, works perfectly. It is not obtrusive and makes the step up to the bed so much easier.

Although, not designed for a perfect fit for a 2020 Ram 2500, drilling one hole made it fit fine. Item has three holes. I aligned the rear hole with the factory bumper bolt and aligned the bottom of the step bracket with the bottom of the bumper bracket, then drilled a 5/16” hole in the frame using one of the other holes as a guide. I used a 5/16” tapping bolt to secure the step to the truck frame. Very simple modification! I am quite pleased with this purchase.

Was originally looking for the name brand swing away style step but found this one for a quarter of the price. Easy install, even for a 5’3” girl like myself, and makes getting in and out of the truck bed so much easier. Used to have to do a shimmy wiggle and leap to get in, now I just grip the side of the bed, and step up. 10/10 would recommend - 2016 Ram 1500 quad cab, 5.5’ bed, dual exhaust

If you've purchased DeeZee products before, you know the quality is excellent. I'm 57 and just needed a little help getting into my truck bed. If I ever need a ladder or other such silliness, I shouldn't be climbing in and out of truck beds. This is well made, easy to install, just two bolts out and same two bolts back in again. Its super sturdy and is not sticking out obtrusively at all like I thought it might. Installed on 2018 RAM. I love it and now my life is easier. It's all I wanted and all I needed at a reasonable price. I never write reviews but after looking at other products and prices for so long, I can't believe I didn't pull the trigger on this product 6 months ago.

Very easy to install. Took me about 15 minutes. Fit my 2019 Dodge Ram Classic 1500 4X4 perfectly. Double exhaust was easy to work around

Installed on 2015 ram with dual exhaust with a standard bed It's been so helpful. Instructions were easy. Installed it easily. Very sturdy. Awesome upgrade at a great price.

Fit 2011 Ram 1500 with dual exhaust. Good quality, easy install. The instructions were worthless. They must have been for an earlier version. But it was pretty obvious which bolts to use.

Great step! Lots of people say it doesn't fit a dual exhaust Ram 1500 (2012-2018 and classic) but it does. Less than five minutes to install and it barely comes lower than the trailer hitch. I recommend this product. I was not compensated in any way for this review.
