When I opened the package and took it out, it was very brittle. The rubber was flaking off and it felt like sand instead of rubber. You could see when the sun had faded the bulb to a pink color in places. This had to be on some shelf for years to cause that much deterioration.

I use this to service my golf cart batteries. It seems kinda slow if you’re in a hurry, but you can be very accurate with your water levels

What attracted me to this Battery Filler Bulb was the low price. Bad decision. I should have know that when the shipping cost is more than the price of the product, the product may not work.The Filler Bulb looks good and is well packaged. However, you cannot stop the tube from leaking when you move the bulb from cell to cell. It makes a mess -water all over the to of the battery, the floor, everywhere.
