The velco design sold me because it would fit around a champagne bottle. Unfortunately, it didn't stay cold for very long. About an hour in 60 degree weather and it needed to be returned to the freezer. After about 2 months and 3 uses, it cracked and the gel leaked out.

I bought this Chiller because I liked the fact that you could use it on different size bottles. But once you freeze it, it's quite stiff and hard to place around the bottle and velcro shut. I prefer the round one that you just slide over the bottle top. Some of those are tight on champagne bottles for example and over time will tear.

I use Soda Stream and the wine bottle chiller I had was a bit snug. This has Velcro so it will fit my soda stream bottle and champagne bottles. Both need to be kept cold outside fridge and I don't like drippage from ice buckets (unless trying to impress someone). I will probably buy more.

I bought this chiller sleeve after first purchasing Vacu brand . I preferred this design because of the velcro, but Vacu has higher ratings, so I tried it first. It worked fine on keeping soda bottle cool, but only for skinny bottles of 24oz Pepsi or smaller. The 42oz Coke bottle was too tight a fit, so I ordered this Deluxe brand with velcro. Very pleased so far. Wrapped around the 42oz Coke just fine and kept it cold over dinner. At the end of dinner, sleeve still has frozen condensation on the outer surface. The material appears to to be good quality, thick plastic. Very nice velcro. I'm surprised that it doesn't have a higher rating. I like the Vacu brand, but if I were only of buy one of these, I would pick this velcro one. But of course, the velcro part doesn't have cooling gel, so the Vacu brand also has its advantages if you don't care about wrapping bigger bottles. I give both cooler sleeves 5 stars.

This did not stay fastened and it did not stay cold for more than an hour. Disappointed.

To freeze the cooler, it needs to lie flat. Once frozen, it is impossibly hard and it will NOT wrap around anything, unless the item to be cooled is thin and flat. Do not bother buying this, get a decent one in fabric that is flexible when frozen. This item will go to the charity shop and a replacement fit for purpose sought.

You cannot beat the ease in use of this product. It is easy to store ( leave in the freezer when not in use),easy to use ( just slip over the wine bottle a few minutes before you drink it) and economical. Love it and have given it many times as hostess gifts and fun little gifts for friends.
