Back in 1979 our local bookstore asked us to make acrylic shelves for displaying their greeting cards. That seemingly small event began the transformation of Clear Solutions. In 1969 we had begun by making custom furniture, picture frames, and housewares. Demand in the marketplace for our acrylic displays was so profound that it redefined our focus and helped make us one of the most respected names in the industry.

What began in a chicken coop in Maryland, grew to a Vermont barn, and a very charming old Vermont mill, is now in a modern manufacturing facility in Hinsdale, New Hampshire. This was a gift for my wife and she gets plenty of use out of it. Very well made and protects those nice cookbooks quite well. The shield is perfect and the ability to tilt the book to your liking is a great feature. It folds up and hides away nicely. I get good husband points for this purchase.

This Acrylic Book Holder is exactly what I needed as I am trying to try new things in the kitchen. This could also be used on a tray in your bathtub if that’s what you’re into too.Pros:Fold ableAcrylic gives it a small footprint and it protects your cookbook/tablet etc.Adjustable depending on the size of your bookSeems very sturdy and would be an excellent gift for a housewarming.Price point was excellent for what you get.Cons: none that I can see at this point in time.

My husband likes to cook so he uses it all the time. It can hold cookbooks in a variety of sizes. Having the acrylic shield is a great plus; it keeps the books from getting splattered and is easy to clean.

Works well and the shield has already saved a few recipes from splatters. The only con I have is that for this kind of price, one would think it would have an adjustable back support for a single piece of paper. Does fold away nicely to store inside a cabinet.

I love the flexibility of this cookbook holder. I have used it to hold something as thin as a magazine or supermarket cookbook to a very thick and heavy cookbook. It does the job perfectly every time. I especially like that I can fold it flat and store it in my cabinet when not in use. Great for cooks with limited storage space.

Very well made and looks great. Works very well for thin to medium thick cookbooks. If you put a very thick cookbook in it you must put the back support in the far rear slot and tilt the book backwards a lot to prevent the book from pushing the plastic shield forward onto the counter. Could be better if the front hinges for the shield were harder to move to prevent the large books from pushing the shield forward. But overall, very nice looking, easy to use, and a fair price.

I have been cooking for years and always struggled with cookbooks laying flat. This cookbook holder makes following a recipe so much easier because it is upright at eye level. It can handle 2 or more smaller books at the same time. This makes it easy to go form one recipe to another. It prevents the books from getting splattered and stained and eliminates sticky finger prints and dog-eared pages. It is well constructed and is the perfect way to displaying my current favorite recipe book, Well Fed 2!
