Your cart is empty.Originally developed from the Henry rifle this rifle became famous for its rugged construction and lever-action breech mechanism that allowed the rifleman to fire a number of shots before having to reload: hence the term, "repeating rifle". The first model, the Model 1866, was nicknamed Yellow Boy because of its brass receiver. This is a non-firing version.

Now that I’ve got it “tacked up” and feathered, it’ll look great in my soon to be erected tipi…

Absolutely no issues. Great condition and looks and feels very real. Works as a great prop for filmmaking.

It looks fine, but the action was broken upon receipt. I saw this was a problem from others and was hoping I would luck out. The packaging had no padding so this thing must have gotten slammed around during shipping. Very disappointed.

Outstanding replica. I purchased this to complement wall-ascents in our kitchen. Skeptical at first by the claims of appearing "authentic," I was pleasantly surprised by both the weight, and construction. I plan on future purchases to add to the colonial feel of my dining-area. This is a fantastic alternative to spending hundreds, if not thousands to locate the real-deal.

Cheap wall toy, barrel and tubular mag are one casting along with fake screw and band at muzzle, it looks like junk, not the real deal and the finish looks equally cheap. To create the appearance of two separate components black paint is sprayed between barrel and mag, it looks as cheap as you can imagine it does.

First off this is not the Denix 1873 model as advertised, it is the 1866 model in antique greay. However, when it comes to length and weight I would say that this is probably the most realistic of the Denix replica old west rifles. I would guess it is as heavy as the original and more importantly it looks real. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the band around the wood by the barrel and magazine is too far down toward the action. To the best of my knowledge all Winchester carbines from 1866 to 1894 had the band further up by the top of the wood nearer the barrel., whereas the rifles unlike the carbines had the band even further up right at the edge of the wood. For anyone who is not sure what I mean by this take a look at the Denix 1892 model which is a carbine and you will see where the band is positioned and for this reason I would say the Denix 1892 model has the most authentic look even though it is somewhat lightweight. If you look at the Denix 1873 model which as I said previously is not this one, it is engraved and it has the band in the correct position of the Winchester rifles. Having said all this just to reiterate apart from the positioning of the band this rifle looks the real deal.

The price was reasonable and the rifle in good shape. There was a nick in the wood stock and on the metal casing but not terrible. The site on top of the barrel was cock-eyed and it doesn't appear it can be fixed. The lever action works ok but not the same as when the weapon was is new.I haven't had a chance to fire the rifle yet and hope to do so soon. After firing it I'll decide whether to keep it, trade it for another gun or just sell it.The delivery was on time and quite satisfactory.Dennis

Concerning the Denix Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle, Antique Grey Finish. Wasn't surewhat to expect as some reviews were kind of negative, but my fears were without meritas the product went beyond my expectations. Very nice replica. A great addition tomy collection. The fit and finish is very good, no loose parts, and the action workspretty much as the original. The ammo loading port is functional. When I pick it upthe weight is just about the same as my real 105 year old Winchester model 1894, reallyvery difficult to tell the difference. A great wall-hanger, or just pick it up and'time travel' back to the Old West. Saddle up and ride.
