The Osung MHS Dental Mouth Mirror with a Stainless Handle and Simple Stem is a dental instrument commonly used in dental examinations and procedures. It's a mirror tool designed for dentists and dental hygienists to aid in the examination of a patient's oral cavity by providing a clear view of hard-to-see areas inside the mouth. Here's more information about this dental mirror:

  1. Mirror Head: The mirror head is typically made of high-quality, medical-grade glass or plastic. It is designed to be smooth, flat, and reflective on one side, allowing it to reflect light and provide a clear view of the teeth, gums, and other oral structures.
  2. Stainless Handle: The handle of this dental mirror is made of stainless steel, which is a common material choice for dental instruments. Stainless steel is durable, easy to clean, and resistant to corrosion.
  3. Simple Stem: The "Simple Stem" likely refers to the design of the handle, which is straight and simple in shape. This design allows for easy handling and manipulation of the mirror during oral examinations.
  4. Purpose: Dental mirrors are used to visualize and inspect various areas of the mouth that are not directly visible to the dentist or dental hygienist. They are essential for examining the back of the teeth, checking for cavities, assessing the condition of dental restorations, and locating other dental issues.
  5. Hygiene: Dental mirrors, like all dental instruments, must be properly sterilized before each use to prevent the transmission of infections between patients. Stainless steel handles are easy to sterilize and maintain.
  6. Provides accurate visualization for rear surface mirror
  7. Thinner profile mirror for better access in tight spaces
  8. High quality glass mirror and stainless steel for long time use and maximizing instrument investment

Dental mirrors are fundamental tools in dentistry, and they come in various shapes and sizes to accommodate different examination needs. Dentists use mirrors in conjunction with other dental instruments to provide comprehensive oral care, diagnose dental problems, and plan treatments. A clear and well-maintained mirror is crucial for accurate and effective dental examinations.

I actually bought this mirror to squeeze into the rear sump area of my aquarium where the Fluval e-series heater is located. There's a temp readout on the heater, as well as an error readout, and there was no way to see it while the heater was under the water in the sump. This little mirror works great to give me access to the readout. I dry it of after each use, and so far it still looks brand new.

Perfectly adequate for what it is capable of. Build is good. Actual mirror size is a bit small but works every time.

I didn't use this mirror a lot, but I managed to break it. The mirror was welded to the handle and the junction might not be very strong. However, since it's cheap, I don't think I can complain too much. One other person complained that it fogged up easily. My solution to that is to rinse the mirror in warm to hot water from the tap. As its temperature gets to equal or higher than that of the air in my mouth, it doesn't fog up anymore.

What more can I say it is a dental mirror at works well for seeing into your mouth with the use of the bathroom mirror or for looking at the kids teeth up close.

I was disappointed that this dental mirror fogs up when put into a mouth. How are we suppose to see when it is fogged? I have seen ones advertised as non-fogging and I assumed this was non-fogging because it was pricey.
