Bought this last year for a Christmas gift but we didn’t open box u til months later when we went to add to our train layout. The top plastic piece was broken off in 2 places. Unacceptable for a $300 building. But now it was too late to return. I managed to glue it back together but very disappointing.

The dept 56 building was fine because of the way dept 56 is boxed. However the box, which is part of the value, was all beat up from sliding around in a way too big shipping box that had no packing in it. At least the actual building is fine thanks to dept 56 packaging.
