The craftsmanship of the cottage is as expected. Beautiful. HOWEVER, was not expectingsuch a small item. It's certainly not a comparable size to the other buildings the DickensVillage has made in the past, especially for how much it cost.

This piece was added to our collection. One thing I like about the Department 56 items is that when the light is turned on, only the windows light up. The walls are thick, so the entire building doesn't light up. Well made, interesting details.

I purchase this as a starter piece for my son's collection. It is a great looking piece (very Christmasy). The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is much smaller than I expected (looks bigger in the picture). Other than that, my son and I were very happy with it.

This is a perfect little festive cottage - it's porcelain and uses a bulb, not an LED. I hope that Dept. 56 continues to make porcelain items and continues to use bulbs, not garish LEDs. The prices have stayed the same or gotten higher, but they are creating more plastic or poly resin pieces, and cold LEDs, which give off a different light and in my opinion, the buildings look different as well. The porcelain pieces look pretty and careful. This cottage is so sweet and feels good to the touch. The bulb gives off a warm glow and is just so lovely.

I just started building my Department 56 Dickens Village for Christmas. This is one of the first items I purchased and I love it! The quality and detail of this cottage is amazing. I didn't have any problems with shipping and it arrived in one piece. I would recommend getting this one, it's a great addition to any village.

I went cray this year buying a lot of extra buildings and figurines for my village. I am especially happy with this piece. it is colorful and fits into the display just beautifully. Great purchase.

This just arrived today, and I was worried because the picture makes it look really cheap. But, this is a beautiful piece. The details are all there, and it is really bright when lit up. Definitely would recommend for the price! This is a fantastic starter piece as well.

This item was purchased as a Christmas gift for a friend at an attractive price. The house arrived with some minor damage so it was promptly returned. Couldn't have been happier about how the return was handled. Amazon had a replacement cottage in my hands within a couple of days. Perfect condition and my friend loved it.

I have set up a Dickens Christmas Village for about 15 years. This new addition, which I have just received, makes me so happy and excited! I just love the beautiful details, the vibrant red and green garland and bows and the realistic snow. It is a perfect 10 and worth every dime! I love, love, love it!
