I like that the section that holds your book/paper is sturdy metal. I don’t like that the stand in the back is plastic and the 2 little clamps that hold your book/paper in place are also plastic. The clip that is supposed to hold your book/paper in place at the top isn’t large enough to hold a book and it’s plastic too. The ruler/guide and it’s clip are also plastic which is pretty typical. The holder I had prior to ordering this one was all metal and it lasted a good 30+ years. I had hoped to find another one like it, but had no luck. So far so good. I’m only rating it with 4 stars because of the plastic parts.

Seems well made better construction than other models which are are mostly plastic Has metal back and angle support braces, a clip plastic to hold top or side of document, sliding bar and support in front bottom for more pages My last al plastic document holder became unusual as back support arms broke whereas the metal heavy wire supports on this one should not as can bend and not snap. Useful for holding documents like small books and magazines to refer to when writing

I bought this to hold patterns that I use for crocheting. It holds the patterns in place and has a slider that can be used to show what pattern step I'm on so that I don't lose my place. I really like it. Improvement could be made to the clips that hold the pattern and the slider. There is a ridge around the flat paper holder that causes the clips to slip and sit crookedly at times, but I'm happy with it.

This girl over here, that's who. I'm kind of in love with this document holder. I've used it literally every week day since I bought it two months ago. I have an older one from Kensington already, but I needed another, and I'm glad I eventually decided on this one instead of getting another Kensington. I love the multiple levels of tilt, the fact that it folds up for travel (not completely flat, but enough that it slides right into my bag, so no complaint there), and the document clips and slide rule work perfectly. My one gripe is that I wish it was wider, or that they made one for documents that are in a landscape layout, but it's not a deal breaker. It's holding up very well, despite my constant abuse and knocking it off my desk about once a week, so it's definitely a 5 star purchase.
