These are a nice replacement for the weathered latches on my sportsman. They look like they’ll hold up well.

The listing notes that these "clasps" are designed to be used on specific ATV models. I am planning on actually using them on a large, heavy duty plastic storage box that I have mounted on the back rack of my ATV (not the models mentioned in the listing). The existing clasps are a little awkward to open with gloves on and since I will be using the box for ice fishing, I wanted to make the opening and closing a little easier without taking my gloves off. I just need to be sure the spacing for the 2 pieces is on the money as the stretching of the rubber when closing is what keeps the latch secured and the lid in place. I'll be doing the old measure twice and drill holes once approach.These rubber clasps are very heavy duty and are similar in design to the type of clasps used to secure the front lid of a snowmobile. The hardware appears to stainless steel which helps keep rust to a minimum.
