This HDD caddy fit perfectly in my laptop, and I was very happy that all screws were included with the tray. Cables fit and worked as expected.Verify that your laptop model number is on the compatibility list, and this product should work. Recommended.

This is a SATA hard drive caddie bracket and cable to allow you to replace on a Dell Latitude 5500 5501 5502 5505 and Dell Precision 3540 3541 3542 3550 3551 laptop. Typical the problem is with the cable and this is a replacement for the damaged cable. Works as intended.

Looking for this caddy for my Dell laptops. It has the ability for M.2 but didn’t come with the cable/caddy for 2.5” drives and wanted to add some storage.The kit comes with the caddy, 8 x installation screws & the data cable. The caddy has foam padding strips on the underside, but better QC is needed as there is exposed adhesive peeking out. There are rubberized grommets on the screw mounts to eliminate vibrations (if using an older disk drive).Tried installing in my Latitude E5570, but it seems the series is different than the 5500 series and the caddy doesn’t fit, but the interface cable fits perfectly. I was able to DIY a 2nd drive into my laptop using the SATA interface cable. The system detects the drive and everything functioning perfectly.Overall, quality cable & caddy to easily add 2.5” storage to your older Dell laptop, but you need to be sure it’s in the compatible model list as it seems laptops in the same series may not have been designed the same.

This set seems as close to an OEM part as you would want. All of the necessary screws are provided, the tray part seems like it belongs in the computer and the cable was a perfect fit. I'd recommend this kit for supported devices.
