While I have taken this late scuba diving, I mostly reach for it anytime I need a bright light. I do a lot of outdoor activities and have brought this on multiple camping trips. It can really light up a trail, the tops of trees, and sides of mountains. I would say it's the brightest flashlight I've owned. When using on the highest setting, the light end can get quite warm. Not that it'll burn you, but I have to admit I have used it to keep my hands warm and even left it on and placed at the foot of my sleeping bag to warm up the foot section. After 3 or 4 minutes you're good to go.I like the rechargeable battery feature, and also that the charger works off a USB c cord. I would recommend this light. Its a little heavier than I'd like, but that's ok. Just don't drop it on your toe.

I am retired from scuba diving but wanted this light because of the big batteries and bright light. It uses two 6,000 mAh lithium ion batteries. This gives the light the ability to put out 4,000 lumens for several hours. Altogether, there are three different light levels with longer battery life with lower output.I got this light for use at home or while outside. Despite the high light output, the light is relatively small and fits nicely in your hand. You also get a lanyard to wrap around your wrist. The light beam is fixed and not adjustable, but the normal focus provides an adequate cover area in use. The light is made of machined aluminum and seems well made and solid. The light is supposed to be good through 150 meters. While the light and battery cover are well machined, I did not see an O ring or silicone gasket. Not a concern for me as I am not using this as a dive light beyond 12 feet or so when it gets in the ocean.

This is the 2nd Diving flashlight that I have ever had, and with this one I noticed a big difference compared to the other. I learned from my first one that these are meant to be used underwater. They are very powerful and therefore get very hot, but since they are for underwater use, it is expected that they will be cooled by the water. My other Diving flashlight gets red hot after about 5 minutes of out of water use, too hot to hold, so it's not very practical to rely on except for diving. I turned this flashlight on and set it down on my bed and it was warm but not hot even after sitting there for 25 minutes! At about 40 mins it was pretty hot, so I decided to stop my experiment. I think it's because of the design, with the large head and more slender body, but either way, it will be a good flashlight to keep on hand for emergencies even when out of water.I also had an experience with the company and their customer service. The first flashlight I received didn't work, even though the batteries showed as charged up in the battery charger. Perhaps something happened during shipping, who knows. But I decided to contact their customer service because I really wanted to have a working flashlight, even though I received it as a free VINE item. So, I emailed their customer service at 3AM one night and they replied by 4AM--I told them what happened, and they just asked for my Order number and Address and 5 days later I received a new one that worked perfectly. They include information with the flashlight regarding their customer service and warranty.Back to the flashlight--The only negatives I would mention are that the battery charger feels cheaply made, as I had to wiggle and move the batteries around a bit to get them to line up and turn the charging indicator lights to Green, but once connected it worked fine. The other issue is perhaps minor, and I'll admit that I am a very picky person, but the batteries seem to move around a little inside the flashlight. I've felt this in many other flashlights I've owned before, but it would just be nice if the fit inside was a tad tighter. For these reasons I gave it only 4 of 5 Stars.
