While the 4.7 is a decent engine, it does have its issues. Blown head gaskets led to a replacement of the timing set while it was exposed, and no sense in not replacing everything else that could cause another disassembly. This oil pump was n reasonably priced and time will tell if it performs as well as the original which had 200k at the teardown. I cannot find any reason to pay 2x or 3x the price for a product made in China, so went with this one. Product seems well made and just as solid as the OEM. Clearances are slightly less than new OEM, but tighter than its used predecessor by far.

The O ring that was supplied with the oil pump for the pickup tube was the incorrect size (too big). Now, instead completing my repairs, I have to go and find the correct O ring.

Great product didnt like the fact I had to cut the wires and it was no instruction but once I figured it out it works perfectly
