This is a good little kit. It is all aluminum which keeps it light. The 2 bowls are of good size to cook for 2 - 3 people. I have not tried the frying pan yet. I see no reason it wouldn't work just fine to cook breakfast for two. The stove, it's also made of aluminum and not brass. In my use the stove functions the same as the others I have purchased off amazon. It's lighter in weight and works exactly as expected. A plus I noticed. The O ring is much thicker than on others. (non-Trangia) ones. There was a light breeze, and it did a good job of blocking the wind. It brought the water to a boil in reasonable time frame for a sprit burner. I would recommend this.

This is a good kit for the money. Do the same trick for less money. The burner is made of aluminum, no brass as advices the box. Overall is a good deal.Update, after testing it, I noticed that the flame is very yellow, due to lack of air. The number of holes in the lower part of the windshield is much less than in the intermediate plate or in the upper part where the hot gases escape.I have modified the windshield to increase air flow, noticing a slight improvement. I recommend using it only in open space, to avoid the accumulation of carbon monoxide.

The stove takes awhile to bloom but the whole thing works great to block wind and concentrates the heat even. It's lightweight but you can get 3-4 of these for the price of Trangia.

This is a pretty decent kit for about two people. The larger pot is great for a meal for up to two people and the small pot and skillet are great for one. The skillet serves as a lid, which is fine since there's only one burner setup.I am going to go through the good, the bad and the unpleasant here.The good:- Cheap. The price is right.- Light. It's not insanely light, but at 19 ounces exactly on my scale (535 grams), you get a lot of function for the weight. This includes all items completely unpacked and stored with the strap intact.- Functional. It heats water/liquid very, very well. Super for one pot meals.- Durable. All items appear to be made of aluminum -- including the gold plated burner. Minus the strap and the rubber gasket, of course.- Handle grips well. It works.- Stays lit in most weather. The base provides some protection from wind, while allowing the stove to breathe.The bad:- Not extremely durable. The metal will ding and dent, so carry with a little care. It's hardly fragile, but I was curious and was able to bend the strap hole in and out pretty easily. It's solid, but not robust.- While it stores well, I wish it stored "better." It has a few small holes and gaps for things like a cleaning rag, a lighter and, maybe, a small bottle of fuel, but the handle takes up a lot of space and you can't get much inside.The unpleasant:- The burner. The burner. The burner. Unlike others -- even cheap off-brand ones like this -- usually come with a simmer ring. This one has two speeds. On and off. You can't partially snuff the flame with anything that came with the kit. Simmering (as is) is not an option. The burner also feels pretty flimsy and cheap. It's not a name brand from the Swedish manufacturer that is the gold standard.So where does this leave us? For the surprisingly low cost, functionality and due to the fact that I have another burner that solves two problems (durability and simmering), I rate it at least a 4 of 5. I am glad I bought it and would recommend it -- along with a better burner -- to any starting camper.

I have owned two of these for years, they work as good as the high dollar ones, I have two different brands of those. Like one other reviewer mentioned, the stove is junk, but it will work, get a replacement burner as soon as you can and you will love it!

Why would a (RELATIVELY) affluent guy buy a cheap stove? PEACE OF MIND!!! Engraved with your name and phone # and email, NO ONE will steal this from your picnic table! Are you into "stealth camping"? Go on a hike and find your camp busted? Spray paint the EXTERIOR ONLY with BBQ grill recoat paint (in advance to reduce chances of being spotted, but if you are found out and reported) be able to just peacefully and cheaply walk past the scene. The burner has an interior wick just like the T $$$ model. I will update with useage.
