I’m not typically a high rater, a 4 is good; nothing that exceeded expectations. I expected these to be adequate but on the cheaper side of quality. They didn’t disappoint. They do work for what was needed but the metal plate was on the thin side. They included nails but I opted for small screws instead.

I was very happy with the lock, it just turned out to be smaller than we needed for the treasure chest my husband built. The detail on the lock is beautiful and matches the black hardware beautifully.

If you don’t mind nails as fasteners instead of screws I guess this is ok. But, screws are not included with the clasp, even though they are specifically noted in the product description (look at the picture). That means trusting tiny nails as fasteners, which are typically sub-optimal when compared to screws.

I purchased this for my late daughters memorial box. And While the product seems to be sturdy and fairly well made, there is an area of pink discoloration (possible from the welding/soldering process) I’m not seeing how I can fix it but it’s not worth my time to return it. I’m unsure yet if I’ll order something different or just use this one.
