My controller needed a temp selector switch, so I ordered my first unit. The heat selector worked but I couldn't turn on the A/C. Exchanged this for a new one and then the vent selector would not work. 1-800 car parts said the problem was with my car and would not exchange again. I removed the vent selector clip from the new unit and found that it was missing a part and was also damaged. Recycled my old parts to make this work as it is summer and need cold air in the car.Dorman has failed on their quality checks and 1-1800carparts warehouse manager has no clue on how parts function.I am normally the person that is polite and gives positive reviews, Not this time ! ! !I would not recommend this item based on the fact that I received 2 that were defective..I would also not recommend 1-800carparts as they were not going to provide an exchange on a defective part that I fixed by using parts from my old unit to fix the problem when they stated my car was the issue.30 years plus working on cars and 1-800carparts insulted my abilities to analyze a simple part replacement issue.
