Basically all I used was the fitting. I reused the retaining clip from my original. Cut the crimp off and used a longer piece of hose. On a 94 Cherokee.

Did the trick. Bottom line...job done. Hose is a little short though for a 98 Cherokee XJ... should be another 8 inches longer. Had to buy more hose, coupling and clamps to make it work.

Appears to be a direct replacement for my 97 Jeep Cherokee Sport. OEM quality. Haven't yet used this (installing a new engine), but I don't foresee any problems when I do.
