Chances are the fitting on top will leak after you replace this canister. Don't blame the product. There is a Tee with an O-Ring inside, which will probably need to be changed. You will need to take a small tool and remove the O-Ring and replace it with a new one. In fact, you might want to try that first before buying this product. On my car with over 170k miles and the original canister, I decided to replace it. Another option for that Snap-On Tee, if there is room on your car, would be to put a small hose segment and a Tee fitting. If there isn’t room, on my car, I cut off about an inch of that plastic pipe using a hack saw. Placed a small hose segment over it, and a hose clamp on top. I’m not recommending you do it that way. Try the O-Ring first. On my Dodge Stratus, it was a relatively easy job, once I figured out how to do it. Jack up the passenger side rear wheel, remove the wheel, place a Jack under there, drop the exhaust down, two bolts near the very end of the exhaust, and a rubber band THICK, that you un-clip located about halfway, you’ll see it. Then you can access the canister, unsnap the two hooks on the bottom, push upwards to unhook the top, about 30-minutes, once you figure it out, otherwise, maybe several hours.----update1-3-22---On the original Canister there was a Resistor in series with the signal. I went back and added the missing part at a later date. 2004 Dodge Stratus 'X' Series with 4-Cylinder DOHC. Look at the vehicle ID Number on your car.----update1-17-23---It passed smog again this year. It's been working really well. I would like to remind owners of this car that this information applies to the 'X' Series. The vehicle ID has an 'X' in it along with the other characters.
