Wasn’t the easiest to install, but it fixed the issue with having to continually restart the gas nozzle.Living in Oregon where we aren’t allowed to dispense our own gas in most cases, it made it a real pain. This makes it less awkward.

One of the vehicles in the fleet at home is a 2003 Hyundai Accent. Recently, the check engine light came on and was followed shortly afterwards with the fuel nozzle shutting off prematurely while filling the car with gas at the station. The Check Engine light was resolved by replacing the MAP sensor but when I went to fuel the car I'd get a quart or two in and the nozzle would shut down. A little bit of googling came up with the charcoal cannister being bad. I checked it out and lo, and behold! There was charcoal in one of the vent lines. I ordered the Dorman 911-862 Vapor Canister and installed it last night. I immediately drove it to the gas station and filled it without any issues.Installation is not too difficult, Take your time with the vent lines and clamps unless you have spares on hand.

This canister was for my 2003 Hyundai Accent, with 20,000 miles, which I purchased brand new.Since new, I have always had a problem filling the fuel tank. It would take an excessive amount of time to fuel up. I had to pump fuel very slowly. It could take me 10 minutes to fill the tank.The charcoal canister had ruptured and clogged everything.I have recently started to use this car a lot more than I used to, so I had to get this problem resolved.I purchased this canister at a reasonable price. It was easy to install. Now I fill my tank up, with the pump handle wide open.Problem solved.
