  • DC MOTOR DRIVE BOARD: 10A dual-channel motor drive board, stepping DC motor with brake H-bridge balance car drive module, DC motor high-current full-bridge drive specially designed for robot competitions.
  • PWM MODULATION: It can work at 0%-99% PWM modulation duty cycle (note that it cannot be 100%), so that the motor can get enough driving voltage. When the motor is connected, it can not be directly given high level, and it should not be left floating. The best frequency is above 400HZ Frequency: 400HZ-20KHZ!
  • N-CHANNEL IRF3205 MOSFET: It can quickly open the MOSFET channel, improve the acceleration curvature of the motor, and also quickly brake the motor. This allows the car to start and kill the car quickly.
  • TEST: 1. Determine the PWM signal. Before testing the drive board, please use an oscilloscope or a multimeter to determine whether the PWM signal you provide is accurate (set PWM to 0 when the main program is executed). 2. Do not connect the motor first, and all other signal power supplies are normal. Use a multimeter or oscilloscope to test the waveform between the motors. 3. Connect the motor for testing.
  • NOTE: For customers who use for arduino STM32 microcontrollers, please note that because these microcontrollers take a long time to initialize, it is necessary to add a 2K pull-down resistor to PWM1 and PWM2 respectively.

Features:

MOSFET driver chip comes with hardware brake function and power feedback.N-channel MOSFET IRF3205 MOSFET, use two dedicated half-bridge driver chip on the top tube using the boostrap capacitor, so that the tube has enough drive voltage of the MOSFET channel can be opened quickly, improve motor acceleration curvature, but also quickly for the motor brake. This allows the trolley can quickly start can quickly kill the car.The driver can operate at 0-99% of the duty cycle of the PWM modulation, the motor driving voltage can be obtained sufficiently.

I followed the manufacturer's directions and added pulldown resistors to the inputs for use with an Arduino. (Little red board in picture.) I'm using it with two motor wheels to drive a large robot. It has elertronic breaking which eliminates coasting. Great product!

I was almost expecting this to be DOA based on some of the reviews, but it is working fine in initial testing using an Arduino to control speed and direction of a 36V motor. The board I received had some rework done on two of the MOSFETs. The date codes/lot numbers of matching chips are also very random, and in one case they are different manufacturers, I highly suspect these are built with used/recycled components. I couldn't find a schematic nor did I fully reverse engineer it, but here's what I can tell you. The board uses a 74HCT02D NOR gate and a pair of L6384D half bridge drivers for each channel. It also has a MC34063A boost converter to supply 14v to the L6348Ds. The IRF3205 MOSFETS are more than capable of handling the advertised specs, and they are easily replaced at low cost if needed. This is not like some other motor drivers where the motor power supply input also powers the logic circuits. The motor power supply input does not connect to anything except the FETs and the the two large electrolytic caps. You need a separate 5v supply on the logic input pin to power the logic circuits. The grounds are common. I used a 36V power supply for the motor side, and 5v from the Arduino for the logic side. This worked fine in normal use, but I briefly disconnected and reconnected the 5v supply wire from the Adruino, and upon reconnecting it immediately smoked the buck converter on my Uno R4. This was without the 36V supply connected. I'm not yet sure where the problem is, but I would suggest making sure the 5V supply is connected and powered prior to applying power to any of the PWM or DIR inputs, I believe that's what creates the dangerous condition.

This board has some issue with the 5 volt and Vin where there is a connection. it killed one of my microcontrollers, and killed my power supply when i hooked up a seperate 5 volt. i also just hooked up vin and nothing happened. dont be an idiot like me and not read the reviews.

Looking at the design of the current board, there's placement issues with the tantalum capacitors around the power converter for the bootstrap drivers. Haven't turned it on yet, I'm going to remove the buck converter and tantalum caps and power it externally and see if it works fine with that.

I will support this board. I cooked one of them and was a little disappointed. After some trouble shooting and extra information on the sales page. I was able to figure of that all pins but the control power need to be pulled down. Also I used a relay for board direction. I don't know why they do not pull all the pins to zero on the board.

I'm an EE and I built a PWD based dual motor amp years ago. It used PWM and DIR. I thought, "great!! I can modernize my robot. Make another without having to rebuild!!!" I do know what I am doing. With a working PWM/DIR motor control system (important note), it should have been an easy substitution, a wire for wire replacement: power, ground, motor 1 (+,-) motor 2 (+,-) and gnd, 5v, pwm1, dir1, pwm2, dir2. Each of these three boards failed miserably. Each was either doa or early failure. I had a 10 amp fuse in-place, I has a tested and working motor and controller infrastructure. Dead.I don't know what their design is, but it is not robust and you'll be lucky if it works at all.

Running on 36v, 5 amps, 36v dc motor 350w. Blew transistors in one bridge. Looking at the board there are no schottky diodes across the Fet's to protect from reverse voltage.
