I don't have a dyslexic child but I do have a struggling reader. That said the guides that have the grey on the top and bottom have been wildly helpful in keeping my kiddo focused on where he's at rather than over whelmed by all the other words on the page. We don't have a lot of use for the bigger colored overlays but they make great book marks. Overall this is a very affordable solution to the distractability issue we've been dealing with.

This was a little confusing at first to use but since using them, it has been making reading time much less stressful.
