EBC Redstuff ceramic pads reduce dust emitted by OEM pads by approx 80 percent. Redstuff pads also reduce rotor wear so that rotors and pads last longer whilst delivering great brake performance. For optimum lifetime in track use EBC still recommend drivers to upgrade to their Yellowstuff or even the new Bluestuff range but if fast street is what you need, EBC Redstuff Ceramic is the pad to choose.

These are great brake pads but have misleading information as far as the brake in period. In one spot on the box it says 250miles and right below that there is a paragraph that says 500miles. The other issue I have with EBC brakes in general is there is no anti rattle clip. These are wear items and not generally one size fits all. The bosch , acdelco an oem brakes I bought for my 2007 toyota corolla all came with new clips. This causes the brakes to be a bit louder than other brands. And the first 15 minutes of driving the brakes are extremely loud but quiet down after 15 minutes of light breaking. The extremely long brake in period is not good for city driving where cutting people off at 90mph is the norm in seattle.

These pads stop extremely well, and do not fade. They also produce very little dust.

These brakes were exactly what I wanted for my daily driver to improve initial bite and having something left with the pedal right before impending collision. I installed these on the front oem rotors of a well maintained 2004 Toyota Corolla. My local mechanic turned the rotors and installed pads with supplied noise shims. From 0-1000 miles the brakes squealed and never bedded in even though I followed the supplied bed in procedure. Started to chop the right front tire even though I had not hit any objects. Local Firestone dealer checked alignment and it was in spec. Their brake mechanic resurfaced both rotors a 2nd time and told me he double cut at a very slow cutting speed and then dressed the rotors with a side grinder attachment. From the moment I got the car back, these brakes were 100% quiet and stopped smoothly. These pads have a great initial bite from the moment you first step on the pedal. The Corolla had good pedal feel with semi metallic pads but these ceramic pads have lessened pedal pressure by about 25%. As you are pressing a little harder to slow down, you can feel the pads biting progressively harder. Excellent feedback compared to dozens of daily driver cars I've driven over past 40 years. I don't race or drive spirited, but I know the difference between confidence inspiring and the dread factor hoping you can stop in time. I highly recommend these pads for no other reason than they leave something in the tank right before you come to a complete stop. You know what I mean....you're slowing down in traffic anticipating about where you will stop and suddenly the guy in front of you slams on the brakes. These ebc pads can handle this with no drama. Just press harder and you'll stop - right NOW! That, in my opinion, is worth the price of admission. Another appealing aspect of these pads is interstate off ramps. Do you like to run triple digits then dart off at your exit of choice and binder to a quick stop at the red light? These pads can do it in spades. No pads I've ever used can do this so easily. The Corolla stops so short from 80mph it is almost scary - for the guy behind me who is pooping his pants wondering how my econobox go cart can stop like a corvette. The advertised low dust factor was a disappointment for me. The dust is silver and a finer consistency. It is harder to see on a rim or sidewall initially, but the problem is that unlike traditional black dust, this silver dust is sticky. It builds up and builds up and then one day you say to yourself that you need a car wash. I hand wash my cars. You'll need more hands to wash all the sticky brake dust off. I waxed my rims regularly to minimize adhesion with marginal success. I pretty much wash the car/rims as much as with the semi metallic black dust. YMMV.When it's all said and done, these pads are expensive but they perform exactly as I wanted. I just bought a replacement set for the same car and installed new Centric cryogenic treated rotors at the same time. The bedding in was flawless in less than 200 miles with NO noise or squeal whatsoever. So take notice if you are using worn rotors. Choose carefully who you let resurface your rotors. When done properly, these pads only get better as the miles pile up. I can't vouch for mileage since this car is used for hellish urban stop and go pizza delivery and they gave me exactly 20k miles. Prolly could get 40-50k under family car conditions. Am looking forward to putting these on my new 2015 4 disc Corolla S plus once the OEM pads die. Disclaimer - I have no connection or financial gain with ebc. I just flat out love these redstuff ceramic pads!

These brake pads definitely offer some of the best stopping power out there. I love having confidence that if there is ever a moment where i need to slam on my brakes i will definitely be able to stop on a dime. The only drawback is that even though they advertise low dust and noise, as expected with any type of high power brake pads, they still had loads of dust and noise.Worth the money for sure though
