EBC Redstuff ceramic pads reduce dust emitted by OEM pads by approx 80 percent. Redstuff pads also reduce rotor wear so that rotors and pads last longer whilst delivering great brake performance. For optimum lifetime in track use EBC still recommend drivers to upgrade to their Yellowstuff or even the new Bluestuff range but if fast street is what you need, EBC Redstuff Ceramic is the pad to choose.

Pads rattle inside the caliper after 1,000 miles. Contacted EBC several times and no response.

Perfect fit on an R56 Cooper S. Good stopping power and less dust than the original pads. Rather complicated bedding in process.

Purchased the EBC Red brakes for my 2013 Mini Cooper Clubman and couldn't be happier. Much better than the squeaky and short lived OEM pads provided by Mini plus they just look better, they're red... Perfect for the those who love to zip around in their Mini as I do without needing the racing quality brakes EBC manufactures. So far there's been minimal dust, no squeaking, superb braking response and they slotted in for a swift install. I'm and aggressive driver who likes to take his car on long trips and thus far cannot complain.

The pads for inner and outer side of the caliper are different but no instructions are included. The pad with the taller half-circle at the top goes on the inside near the piston.Works fine with a Bosch rotor. They fit the 2008 Mini Cooper S (R56 n14). All pads have notch to accommodate wear sensor. Includes antisqueel plate on back. The car stops as well as with OEM pads. Cold stops are fine. But the squealing is maddening.Brake dust is more or less the same as OEM.

Perfect fit for my 2012 Mini Cooper S R56.After the first 5000 miles with these on you can see the difference in the amount of break dust that is created. These Red stuff pads create less than half the dust of the OEM pads.Performance wise they do exactly as advertised, great stoppage power. Will buy again.

The brakes on R56 Cooper S is near identical to John Cooper Works brake upgrades for Gen1 (R50-53) MINIs.This DP31789 is for those MINIs.Perfect fit. Squeaked a little first 100 miles or so then once they bed they are quiet.A LOT less dust than OEM, MORE grip when hot. Love these pads. Trust those brits for the brakes of MINI!

I used the Amazon compatibility tool to select rear pads for my 2007 Mini Cooper S (Non JCW) and got entirely the wrong pad. When it was time to do the front brakes, I used some external resources to determine which part number I would need, and these worked great. They seemed like a REALLY tight fit at first--make sure you compress your calipers COMPLETELY before trying to put the caliper unit over the brake pad carrier.I put plasti-lube (anti-squeak) on the entire back of the pad, but none on the 'ears' (based on a recommendation on a Mini forum). They squawked a little bit when I came to a full stop, but only for the first 20-30 miles. Now they seem to be seated well and work great. Haven't had them long enough to see if there is less brake dust than OEM, but I hope so.I put new EBC slotted rotors on at the same time, which may have added to the brief squawk. But as I said, it didn't last long at all, and wasn't that bad.To add to the confusion, the box even says Mini Cooper S (JCW), and mine is not JCW, but they worked great. Do some outside research first. Don't trust the compatibility tool.

I like the brake pads for the low dust but i would like a little more initial bite. I am on the low end of break in about 500 miles and that is all Highway. installed them did some initial bedding in and then drove to College 500 miles away. I love the stopping power but would just like a little more initial grab.
