About this item

  • High friction pad for better high speed stopping
  • Zero fade race developed compound
  • Brakes effective right from cold
  • Can be used on street or race track

The new EBC Yellowstuff compound is essentially a race pad but with a big difference in that it works from cold and can be safely used on the highway. If you want the ultimate in high friction braking this is the pad to choose. Brakes feel superb from first touch of the pedal and stay effective up to race temperatures. Maximum stopping is prime requirement and for short duration track use. Its dust rating is similar to OEM parts. All pads come with edge chamfers, center line slots, noise reduction shims and OEM hardware as needed. All EBC pads feature the EBC brake in surface coating which helps pads seat quickly after install.

I've been using EBC pads since 1986,when I was racing MotoCross. At the time, they only made motorcycle pads.I won every heat and every race the entire season.By the next racing season everyone knew about EBC pads and I lost my advantage. Now,I use them in both my vehicles. They stop shorter and have a great pedal feel. You can't get better.

Ebc doesn't seem to last on my vehicle. I wanted extra stopping power and to eliminate the brake fade I had. These seem to stop better and feel stronger when cold. They did not eliminate brake fade and they seem to last 6 months in the mtns. I've used hawk lts, a few big store brands a set of green stuff 6000 and these. I have a second gen frontier at 4800lbs. All my brake lines are New braided lines, I have matching yellows on the back with drilled and front slotted EBC rotors and these pads. I've started using my trans on longer descents, I replaced the sliders and all new hardware and greased. Normal driving they stop great, no squeals as people have mentioned and very smooth but they produce enormous amounts of dust, my wheels go black in 2 weeks and it seems like they need to be replaced every 6 months. Not to mention when my brakes heat up they still go from 100 to 10% in minutes. Oem lasted 30k, cheaps lasted 18k these I got 7k and the greens about the same. I'm consciously driving with as little braking as possible and I'll see how the green 7000s do but I can't see buying pads over 70$ again for the small gains.

Product fit well. Easy to install myself at home. I recommend using an anti-squeel spray or copper grease to the back of each pad. I have done this for years but this time did not. the brake pads are sometimes making an irritating squeal that seems like vibration. this is not the fault of the brake pads which are amazing on my truck that is used to tow. Immediate improvement in stopping power. worth every penny and even if the pads need to be replaced more often. my previous ceramic/metallic pads were glazed at not allowing me to stop with nearly the power of these.

BOught in combo with dimpled and slotted ebc rotor. They stop pretty good, but haven't tested them at full capacity towing yet. That's why I went for the expensive package.
