Seemed like the perfect solution and worked fine for a few months. Then it started making endless ice -- somehow ignoring the input from the ice overflow detector. Then it worked right again for a few weeks. Then it basically stopped making ice -- putting out only one tray a day. Had to replace it.Update:I contacted Edgewater Parts via their website listed email -- their Contact Us page captcha seemed designed to filter humans as well as computers. They responded promptly and issued me a warranty refund. I now have a replacement that is working well and I'm confident the company will back up their warranty -- rating bumped to 4 stars.

This iice maker head was easy to replace and works great. I had replaced the water valve earlier only to find that the ice maker still didn't work. I purchased a replacement ice make but also this replacement head. Replacing the head was easy and cost much less. I couldn't tell a y difference between the original and the replacement! There are YouTube videos that demonstrate how to replace the head. VERY EASY.

Motor is 1.5 watt & the original was 3 watt but so far is working as it should.
