I rated this one star only because I couldn’t go lower. This absolute piece of garbage worked for less than 5 minutes before making a popping sound and dying. Do not recommend at all. Sent the first one back and received the replacement only to have the exact same thing happen.

This electric polishing machine is making it so much easier and faster to sand off those sharp edges on my resin pieces. It also works for burrs, splinters, or rough edges on my laser cuttings. What a time saver!! The electric polishing machine is low noise and is totally easy to use. One rotating button turns it on and turns up/down the speed. It can achieve a really fast speed or a very slow speed and has 30 different speed settings. There is an indicator light on the side that shows the chosen speed setting. It has rubber feet on the bottom of the base plate but on high speeds, the machine will migrate around on my table and I have to hold it in place. It stays stationary on the lower speeds. There are two holes in the base plate so I guess it could technically be screwed down to keep it in place if desired.The machine comes with a 3 inch Velcro pad already installed to hold the sand paper on it but unfortunately, the sandpaper they included is only 2 3/4" so I've had to be careful not to hit the edge of the pad and ruin it until I can get some sandpaper of the proper size. The sandpaper is working okay and it stays on tight without any issues. Overall, this is an awesome sander for resin (or other craft items) that is easy to use, a good size for my small work area, low noise, and it has 30 settings and plenty of rpm's to sand anything that I need to get smooth or polished. I would definitely buy this electric resin polishing machine again!

The actual machine is very nice. It’s sturdy, doesn’t vibrate, doesn’t get hot right away, and the RPM can be turned up QUITE fast! It has a knob on the side that allows you to smoothly adjust the speed of the sanding wheel.Although the machine works great for sanding, this is advertised as a sander for resin, and it really isn’t the best sander for resin; here’s why:Since this is a tabletop machine (as opposed to a hand sander), it can only be used for smaller resin pieces that can be held (trays, pendants, bangles, jewelry, jars, etc.) But those kinds of items should always be wet sanded, and the type of sandpaper that came with the machine is not designed for wet/dry sanding. A silicon carbide paper works much better.Also, the sandpaper wears out extremely fast!I did order some 3” round silicon carbide sanding disks that would attach to this sander. This set also came with a foam backing plate that really helps when you’re sanding anything other than a completely flat object! Plus, it came with grits more appropriate for resin.I’m fairly confident that this will be very helpful for sanding resin pieces when I have the correct sandpaper with a backing plate. That’s why I only deducted 1 star.I did see how well it worked on the flat back of a stone cabochon, and it did a nice job on the stone!One more thing that I didn’t notice in the instructions….be sure to wear protective gear! You MUST wear eye protection and a respirator! You definitely don’t want to be breathing resin or rock dust! And you don’t want it in your eyes either!I’m very excited to try this sander with better sandpaper! I’ve actually saved some resin pieces that I usually would have spend a lot of time hand sanding then polishing! I believe this machine will be a huge time saver!

It woked a few days and blew up. Literally parks flew and no longer works.
