I work from my basement, and when the power drops out, even during the daytime, it is pretty dark down there. I had converted all of my florescent troffers to LED panels long ago, but have always been worried about egress in an emergency. Enter this handy device. I wired this battery unit up to one of my 2x2 25W LED Panels in the basement hallway, which took about 45 minutes to finish, and spent an extra 15m to run a permanent hot from the closest junction box. Now, my three-way switches still work, the 0-10V LED dimmer slider still works, AND when the power drops, I have automatic light in the basement to find my way out. It looks so much better than one of those emergency light kits. I did have an issue with the brightness of the green "Charging" light, but I dealt with this by hiding it in the corner along a drop ceiling tile, muting most of the light while still making it visible if you look for it.
