This is an excellent sandpaper kit for any small lathe projects like pen turning, and they’re also great in a rotary tool for jewelry making and the like. The separators between the rolls are very nice to have. I’ve had other kits that don’t have that and it becomes a tangled nightmare, so that’s much appreciated. The sandpaper is good quality and lasts a long time before needing to tear a new strip. Great product!

I always need a small piece. Tearing off a standard size sheet seems to ruin the whole sheet when I may need it for something else. These 1 inch wide rolls in a variety of grits it perfect. Roll out an inch or two and it's just the amount I need. What's excellent about this sand paper is it has like an emory cloth backing - not paper - so it lasts a lot longer. And the box serves as a dispensor.

High quality emery. I've been primarily using these strips for finishing items on a wood lathe but I've used them a couple times on mild steel with no grit loss.- grit is well adhered and seems to have a good use-life- emery will not tear and must be cut, even once partially cut the remainder really doesn't want to tear- the roller tube in the dispenser comes with rubber end caps to keep it secured- my dispenser box came destroyed, I blame Amazon's shipping for this - it came in a blister pack- these strips were clearly cut from larger stock and most of them lack grit marking so I'm keeping a marker nearby to label bits I cut off

Great little dispenser, one of those things I always said "yea I'll get it tomorrow" but never quite got around to it until now and glad I did. Good selection of grits and nice fabric backing material.

I am using these to finish wood projects, and they are terrific for the job. They cut really well and last a long time. The fact they include all the way up to 600 grit is a nice feature--I see others that only go to 400, for instance. The real difference I discovered was the cloth backing. It doesn't tear like paper, even if you flex it to clear out any dust buildup, so you can use each piece for a long time. It lasts far longer than sandpaper.I would say it outdoes common sandpaper in every way--its cutting power, ability to resist shedding its grit, and lasting power of the grit cutting edge. Awesome product!

It took me 15 minutes of fumbling with the rolls to arrange them as designed in the dispenser box. That's ok, but I don't expect the box to hold up. I've already taped it shut so they don't fall out. It might be better of there were individual enclosures for each grit, unless you like the "on display" aspect. Then they would be better placed on an upper shelf to make pulling the product out more satisfying. Maybe it would be fun to make a wooden dispenser box instead...The paper itself is very durable. In fact, you can't rip off a piece to use it. You must use sheers of some type to cut it. They're basically 20 foot rolls of canvas-backed belt sanding material. They seem good for evenly working around table legs, rusted metal shafts, or taking the edge off sharp corners without ripping the tape. I'm giving it 5 stars simply for the durability.

There are plenty of times when I need to sand a small object, or perhaps a detail or corner of something. I would normally have to cut up a full sized sheet of sandpaper to get a piece the size of a large band-aid.This set makes it possible to use smaller portions of sandpaper. Setting it up to feed the ends of these rolls through the slot at the bottom is pretty straightforward. Once set up, I can pull out and cut a perfect length of whichever grit I need at the time. The sandpaper itself has a very durable backing, and holds up well even with serious work. This little box fits nicely under the bench for easy accessibility, and because the majority of the sandpaper is rolled up in the box it is protected from dust and debris. For folks working in light metal and jewelry, small crafts, model building or other such hobbies, this can be very useful. I imagine that this could also be a great item for a dedicated makerspace.

These are great quality sanding cloth or Emory cloth, I did them for sanding my knives and handle materials for my final fit and finish when making a knife, there’s a nice progression of belts, and I can get a good surface finish on my blades by the time I’m done with the 600 grit paper, and then I hit it on the buffer with a little rouge and I’ve got a mirror polish, and that is a thing of beauty
