When you replace the gasket:
First, you should wipe the two joint surfaces of engine and clean valve cover with a soft brush.
Second, remove the valve cover screws from both sides to the middle diagonally, pry the valve cover with a slotted knife and take out the valve cover gasket.
Finally, clean the valve cover with cleaning agent, clean the contact surface between the valve cover and cylinder head, install the valve cover gasket, apply sealant, and screw the screws diagonally from the middle to both sides.
This is a very important part of the engine valve group, is to seal the engine oil. If it is damaged, it will lead to oil leakage in the engine, resulting in serious wear and tear of parts inside the engine. How often is the valve chamber cover pad changed? The valve chamber cover pad is generally recommended to be replaced every 20,000 to 30,000 kilometers or every three years. If there is damage during use, it needs to be replaced at any time.

Really poor material on this product. I don’t think you guys are using the right rubber plastic cause as soon as I put the gasket on my car keeps leaking oilHave to purchase a new gasket from the dealership and had to do the job again, as soon as I put the new gasket problem fixed no more leaks

When ordered, the site assured that it would fit a 2015 Accord, 2.4l, but the spark plug seals, were wrong. The valve cover gasket fitted too loose. I ended up replacing the valve cover gasket only, as I didn't have the luxury to have the car apart for too many days. The gasket failed about 4 months after installation. I couldn't find a way to return it through Amazon nor through the seller. This is a reminder to not buy certain things online! I ended up buying a valve cover gasket from the dealer, which was about 15 dollars extra, but it was worth it. Don't waste your time with this product.

Part came very quickly and the price was very inexpensive, but I guess having said that, these gaskets are supposed to be designed to wedge into the valve cover edge channels so it does not move when you invert it to install the cover. However this gasket was too small and made the installation more challenging.
