The server shipped and arrived very quickly. It was well packed. It was well and thoroughly cleaned and equipped as advertised. Mine had a second 5x1Gb NIC in the FLR slot which I easily replaced with a 10Gb Broadcom FLR card from ebay. I also installed the 2 disk media expansion bay with backplane (can only use SATA unless you upgrade to an 840i or PCIe controller) and an Nvidia Quadro P2000 also from ebay. It has been easy to find affordable parts and tons of documentation for it but HPE has a piss-poor policy that blocks owners of pre2020 hardware from getting BIOS and rollup update packs. Access to that ecosystem is extremely expensive (more expensive than Cisco) so everything must be done piecemeal. Depriving owners of renewed hardware makes no sense at all and it is contrary to any best practices for security and longevity of their products. I am a simple hobbiest with a homelab who appreciates their products but HPE really needs to rethink their arrogant bass-akwards policies.
