Exceptional brush

There are numerous squirrel round (mop) wash brushes out there. The Escoda, however, has two important features; nickel plated ferrule, and beautiful point. While many such squirrel mops have gut, or plastic wired ferrules, they tend to be very poorly balanced. The Escoda is both beautiful in balance, and also in precise tip point. Therefore a #16 is large enough for broad washes, but tipped enough for minute details. It is the cost of the Escoda versus the competitor's brush, usually about 30% less, due to the ferrule I'd guess, that makes this Escoda line attractive to the serious watercolorist. Alvaro Castegnet, and Joseph Zbukvic are users of these superb brushes, and being a student of both, I can attest to the flexibility of style, and stroke of the Escoda Aquario.I highly recommend this line of watercolor brushes to student, or professional.
