Legacy Euro Pen Kits are modeled after one of the most sought-after pens made by a famous designer. In fact, it is often referred to as a "Designer" pen. It is the most popular "step-up" pen after gaining experience with basic pens, such as the slimline.
The Legacy Euro Pen Kit is easy to make, requiring a simple tenon in addition to the basic pen form. It is economical and easy to make – yet it will make a great gift. Euro pen kits have locking refill mechanisms that accept Cross style refills. These are compatible with other Euro or Designer Pen kits that are based upon 7mm tubes.

*To complete each kit you will need two 7mm tubes (included), a 7mm drill bit (sold separately), 3/4" x 5" pen blanks (sold separately) and bushings (sold separately).

Transmission systems are terrible. They all have bad threads that won't hold the refill. I've made 5 pens and none of them are worth keeping - much less giving them away as gifts. Unfortunately, I didn't discover the issues until the return date was past.

This product did not meet my expectations. The pen structure is inadequate to support accurate assembly and would not allow replacement of the ink cartridge.

I just started turning pens and this was my first kit purchase after going through what came with my PSI kit. The instructions were easy to follow and the hardware appears to be of decent quality. This kit requires you to turn a tenon for the middle band which is not difficult at all but you have to potentially sacrifice a middle band if you want to get the size right without removing the blanks from your mandrel. The only flaw this kit has is there is no "set" distance on the twist mechanism when inserting to ensure the pen tip extends correctly through the nib; it is trial and error and if you go to far you better have a dis-assembly kit. So far this pen is the favorite by most when it comes to size and how it feels in your hand.

They are cheap kits, and are ok for beginners. If you aren't a beginner, they aren't worth your time, the transmissions feel cheap and out of the 2 different Legacy bulk kits I've ordered, 5 out of the 20 are missing pieces and the tubes on the entire last batch were showing heavy corrosion/water damage. I will not be ordering any Legacy kitsin the future.
