Wig Wag Headlights for Diecast and RC Emergency Vehicles
This Wig Wag has 5 settings:
- Steady On
- Slow Flash
- Medium Flash
- Fast Flash
- Strobe
The lights go bright-dim to simulate a real emergency vehicle, NOT a simple on-off flash circuit.
Press the switch once for steady on, a second time for 2nd pattern, etc. 5th press turns it off. There is no auto-shutoff.

The Circuit Board is 1" long, 0.55" wide, 0.35" thick including the shrink wrap.
The 4 Cool White LEDs are each wired 8 inches from the circuit board.
The switch leads and power leads are 13 inches long.
The standard 3mm LEDs are 3mm wide by 5mm long.
Powering your wig wag circuit:
The wig wag can be run on a 9 volt battery using the included battery strap, or on any 9-12 volt regulated DC adapter.
Mounting the LEDs:
The LEDs can be glued into position using any clear-drying modeling glue. You can also use double sided tape, gorilla tape, zip ties, velcro, etc. to secure the LEDs. Do NOT use hot glue as the temperature can damage the diodes inside of the LEDs.

These lights are great for HO scale vehicles on your layout. The module that controls the light will not fit in the HO vehicle but the wires are long enough for it to be placed under the layout. Used on a police car and is very realistic.

Didn’t check the lights for how bright they are. They were too small for my project, but, I have replaced them with 5mm lights and they are bright and work great.
