This looks so real that you better not carry it in a public place or you might get taken down as a criminal. Shoots very strong and straight, weight and feels like the real thing. Would definitely recommend. Great fun to scare off those pesky squirrels...what a hoot to see them take off! LOL

Cybergun makes nice replicas of the classic "Tommygun" ... they shoot well and have the look, feel and heft of the real deal. If you want one for cosplay, airsoft shooting, or just because you're a fan of the "Golden Era" of organized crime, and you don't want to spend $20K - 40K on an original, or even $1.5 - 2K on a semi-automatic, modern Thompson, these are a fine choice. I do, however, have a few complaints:1) The manual for this thing is useless. If you have never shot airsoft before, you'll likely need to watch some YouTube videos. The manual tells you little more than "take gun out of box, pull trigger, don't hurt anyone."2) MORE IMPORTANTLY: some versions of this gun come with real wood stocks / grips rather than plastic. Mine did, and the wood arrived damaged; the front grip has both a chip AND a crack! I politely asked the company to send me an undamaged one and their reply was: "No, we can't do that, we don't have separate pieces to send you; and we won't accept a return for something that minor." Essentially: "Too bad, so sad ... live with the damage." I honestly don't think I've ever had any other company tell me something like that. This gun is available from other distributors. I strongly suggest you buy elsewhere, NOT FROM EVIKE.(p.s. EVIKE has 5 star reviews for this item on their website. Be careful. I wrote a similar review for the site and they wouldn't publish it. Easy to have 5 star reviews when you won't allow anyone who is critical to have their say ...) ;-)

Great gun so far. I was very impressed with the accuracy given the real thing was not known for it. Great ammo capacity too. I've seen people complain about the weight and spring in the mag. The spring in the mag could be better when firing a lot, but in games this hasn't been an issue so far, only when messing around with it wasting ammo does the spring lag behind the fire rate. As for weight, it is heavy. But I like that about it, makes it feel more realistic and makes you think about conserving your energy while running around with it, so I would not list it as a fault, maybe even a plus. Overall would recommend, excellent price too.

This gun as a practical airsoft gun is great. It is quite accurate, it hits hard, it has a relatively high rate of fire, it is reliable. I am able to hit a pretty consistent two to four inch group from 15ish yards. The only problem with the functionality of the gun is that the drum mags don't have enough spring power to feed bbs fast enough in full auto. It will occasionally dry fire in full auto. The reason why I am giving it four stars is because it is not historically accurate. This is not the 1928 Thompson, this is in every way the Thompson M1A1 with a finned barrel, vertical front grip, drum mag, and square sight ears. The details are subtle, but they are enough to make me frustrated.
