the previous tires were getting thin. every car ive had before ive managed to replace before i needed new tires or ive gone the used route. amazon ship to store was great.i spent hours deciding i didnt want to spend goodyear prices, reading reviews, learning about the treadlife grading, tread depth, deciding that id rather have quieter "touring" style tires over the "high performance" in this price range. i got these for $65 a tire with prime shipping. so far satisfied.may remember to update the review later after some mileage.update 1: one tire developed a side wall bubble. at this price, just replacing one with the same for right now. will need to remember to do basic checks like that on any tireupdate 2: covid reduced my driving but i still clocked some long trips and regular commutes. attached 2nd picture for wear 3 years later. weathering after winters is my main consideration at this point. and i did note some wet spinning from stops on rainy days recently. will be looking into high performance tires next. apparently 2019 was a good time to buy, as the "on sale" price is now double what i originally paid. there's probably not much guarantee of date code you would get if you ordered. at the time, it was a new model so i knew id get recent rubber.
