The shield is fully 24 inches tall, and is a replica of the iconic English battle shield of the 12th. century. The arms are hand painted by us, using enamel oil paint for durability. We own every major heraldic reference book ever printed, and have decades of experience in this artform, which we cherish dearly. The shield has both a handle, and a hanging chain, and we can paint the full coat of arms, or just the shield area.

I am grateful to have received this item. It arrived in protective packaging, fully intact. The detail is customized, skillful and overall simply phenomenal for the price. There is a chain for hanging, as well as an attached mounting jig for even greater display possibilities. Additionally, there was an informative notecard, which contained some worthwhile info on it too. If I could rate this item a 6/5, I would. Thank you to the crafter! Today it is boasted over a writing desk inside of an apartment, but in time perhaps, it will come to oversee a fireplace.
