My mare ate these right up with her regular grain and other supplements. I like that the ingredients are not too complicated, and that it came with a scoop for easy measuring. The resealable plastic bucket fits perfectly inside my SmartPak bin too! No adverse affects, no upset stomach, happy horse.

My older gentleman can be a little bit stubborn about eating things he doesn't want to. He's lived his life, and he will absolutely walk away from his grain if he doesn't like something I've stirred into it, so I've had to learn to test carefully to see what he'll tolerate. He eats this with his grain like it's nothing. Because he's an older horse I try to give him extra support at key times of year when his diet, of necessity, changes. He gets good pasture Spring through Fall, but lives on hay and grain in winter. Supporting his digestive health through those transitions is important to me, and this additive is one of the few things I can get away with putting on his feed. The bucket is great! (So much better than fussing with a bag) and the scoop makes dosing easy. I do question whether my 900 lb quarter horse and my 1600 lb draft cross really need the same dose, but it's a supplement not a medication, so I don't worry about it too much.

This product has helped this winter/spring with my very senior gelding keeping his weight stable. I add 1 scoop to his morning ration and I'm not seeing him filtering out these pellets. My 30 year old gelding is on a pretty high grain diet with free access to hay + pasture all day. I like that this product should help keep his microbiome at full working capacity and hopefully give him more net nutrition from his forage. There is one months supply in the bucket. The price point is kind of expensive (knocking off one star for the cost), but if it allows me to reduce the grain ration (we all know what the price of grain has done over the last several years) it might net out to be fairly cost effective. Farnam is definitely a brand I have experience with and long time trust in.

These pellets from Farnam are a fantastic addition to my horses morning mash. This seems to work very well at adding a lot of extra protein and fiber when we include more grain to the morning mash. Also just in general this works great to add protein and fiber if your horse lacks either in their diet. The one note is that it is best to add to a mash you soak for 10 minutes that way the pellets are soggy. The pellets are so small that it is a very low risk of colic but still they are quite compressed and hard. All in all this is a great supplement to add more protein and fiber to your horses diet.

Must taste good, the horses love them. It's hard to say how effective they are, as the horses we have are pretty healthy overall but we feel that just like humans, getting a little probiotics into your system is a good thing so we feed supplements like this from time to time.

Haven't seen much of an improvement. I have a chronic cribber and his gut just sounds horrible 24/7 due to that air getting trapped nonstop. This didn't lessen his gassiness but it definitely loosened his stools.

Not sure how well it actually works but my horses like it. Been using for a couple weeks.
