I have an 1988 Toyota pickup that I replaced the valve cover gasket on. This one fit the bill perfect. It fits tightly in the groove on the valve cover, the half moons fit perfectly as well. I would suggest you get some RTV sealant and use some where the half moons meet the engine block and the corners where they meet the gasket. Just one drop on each corner of the half moons. The 4 rubber gaskets on top holding the valve cover fit perfectly as well. The nuts only need to be tightened to around 4 ft lbs for a 22r

I bought this gasket kit mainly to get the half moon plug things. The gasket kit from Mahle has a nicer actual valve cover gasket, but their half moon seals are more plastic and not as nice. The Fel-Pro half moon plugs are more rubbery and nicer (closer to OEM). However, while the Mahle seal around the valve cover is form fitting (i.e. molded to shape), the Fel-Pro one is basically just a big O-ring kinda deal, which I guess you have to fit into the groove on the valve cover. I went with the Mahle seal, but used the half moon parts from this Fel-pro kit.The 4 rubber/metal washers are slightly different between the two kits, but only mildly in appearance of the metal part.

7-26-23Just got around to my valve adjustment. I find out by dry fitting the 1/2 moons that there seems to be a design flaw. The radius of the bottom of the mood DOES NOT match the radius of the head. I am going to really be ticked if the valve cover leaks at the ends. I applied RTV like everyone on YouTube advised but I am not confident. Why you dry fit the moon and it rocks l to r and r to l that tells me the moon is not cut right. Very disappointed in Fel-Pro.

I just installed this set not long ago, but am replacing the timing chain and will be removing the valve cover again. It is made of high quality rubber, and should be fine to use again, but i don't want to risk a leak so i bought another one.Felpro makes an amazing product, i have been using Felpro gaskets since i was a kid in high school working on my hotrods. This gasket set is no exception, a direct fit for my 1995 Toyota 22RE engine, everything fit as it should, and i have had zero leaks. I am very satisfied, and won't use anything but Felpro gaskets.
