My 1987 F250 rear diff cover was leaking and bed from prying with a screwdriver so I went with this cover and Lube locker gasket. Fixed a leak and improved the cooling on my rear diff for those heavy tows. Needs longer bolts to install. Make sure you get longer bolts. I just purchased a nice set off Amazon at the same time.

Good product. How ever if you order make sure to order new bolts for the cover. The factory bolts are as long as the cover is thick. I had to go to the hardware store and buy bolts that were 1/2" longer to install the cover.

This is a great diff cover, the only real thing it's lacking is a drain plug. You have to spend 2-3 times as much to get a drain plug, unfortunately. This comes in raw cast aluminum. If you don't want to be one of those "LOOK AT MY DIFF COVER, CLEARLY MY TRUCK IS MODDED" people, it takes paint very well. I preheated it to 250 degrees Fahrenheit and shot it with Rust-Oleum hammered black, then baked it on for 30 minutes at 300 degrees. By the time it cooled the paint was ok to handle for install. Other people have sanded down the tips of the fins to give it a machined look.This cover looks to be cast from the same mold as the Dorman 697-725 diff cover. Just judging by the photos of the Dorman cover, it looks identical 100% except that the Dorman has a small logo on it. The Dorman unit is roughly half as many dollars as this Yukon unit.You will need longer bolts for this as others have mentioned. 5/16-18 x 1-1/4" seems to do the trick with a flat and lock washer each. Stainless socket caps look very nice against the black cover.Four stars because I spent twice as much as I could have.

Overall the diff cover is awesome. Fit and finish quality is better than I expected. Looks like a factory part. The only issue is that if you're going from the stock stamped cover to this one your factory bolts will be too short. I didn't notice it until I had everything RTV'd, stuck to the diff, and went to put the first bolt in. Was frustrated to say the least, so I hope this helps someone avoid this!!

Seems really well built. Even has a channel cut in the mating surface for RTV instead of a paper gasket which will probably seal better anyway. My big complaint like everyone else is that it doesn’t include the longer bolts needed to install. I used some standard 5/16”-18 x 1 1/4” with a flat and lock washer and it worked perfectly. I’d rather have gone with a stainless socket head in the same size and may still but weren’t available right away. So plan ahead for what you want. Also the description is a little whacked. Title says steel and shows a different cover in the other pics. It’s actually bare aluminum finned like the first pic. To me this need me to be fixed some someone doesn’t get the wrong thing. But still exactly what I wanted and looks great love it.

Excellent fit, excellent quality, no complaints. Recommend it as an upgrade all day long.I had read all the reviews and was ready for needing longer bolts. The company should change the title regarding "steel".

The cover is great but in add the pictures clearly shows and says the bolts are included but they were not. I was sent a second one because of that and it didnt have bolts either.
