My wife has problems with seeing the needle hole and threading it. This looked very easy on the video but it did not work. The wire did not stay in the middle and could not find hole. Was very frustrating. Will not buy again.

I had high hopes for these little fish sewing machine needle threaders but unfortunately these didn’t work quite as well as we expected. These arrive in a small plastic resealable bag with no directions. You will have to look at the pictures in the description to show you how these work. I did find a video of these being used and they look so easy and efficient that I was hopeful. It took my husband and I quite a few minutes to figure these out for our sewing machine which threads from front to back. We noticed that the little metal hook on these fish bend easily which makes it more difficult to get the metal hook inside the eye of the needle. From the video I watched you just have the needle in between the two plastic pieces of the fish and then slide it down until the metal hook slips into the eye of the needle. Then you set your thread on top of the metal hook and pull it through. We were able to get our needle threaded with these fish but it took more effort than expected. Perhaps with practice we’ll be able to thread needles as easily as the video I watched but for now I give this three stars because it wasn’t as easy as expected.My Amazon rating system-Five stars-Great item. They are so tiny it is impossible to hold the fish, position the needle and find the hook for the thread! Threw them away!

It works really good. But you cannot use it on a sewing machine properly.In a sewing machine, the thread goes from front to the back. You have to insert the tool from the back of the needle in the sewing machine, so the thread is right when from pulled with the tool. That is not possible. Alternately you can remove the needle, use this tool to insert the thread and then put it back.
