It is really tough to get these elbows to quit leaking at the connection to the faucet stem. There are few female threads and the last two or three have small notches cut out of them for some reason. You have to apply lots of pipe dope. These are tapered connections and don't seat against anything so you have to really use some effort to snug the fittings together which is tough to do on a faucet stem. Don't assume too quickly that you've got it right either - I thought I finally had it and left it overnight and found drips beneath one of them in the morning. Thanksfully I had left the sink pulled out from the wall and was able to give the elbow another quarter turn. This is after 3 attempts to assemble without leaks. If this doesn't do it, I'll be taking these apart and sending the elbows back as faulty.

Purchased these for the back of some commercial kitchen hand-washing sinks. Eagle HSA-10-F I think. The faucet mounts against the back wall and there is precious little room to do anything with the male nipples on the bottom of the faucet. A standard elbow is too big. Found these, and they worked perfect.
