This is the best nine bucks I’ve spent in a long time. This thing is sturdy clamps to your table has a suction cup. That’s really strong and I put one of these together and it cost me more than what I paid for this so I’m gonna buy another one.

The paint finish on the table clamp piece is flaking off and getting everywhere. The thumb screws and centering spindles are very rough fitting. But it was inexpensive...

Just received today and used it to replace line on new fishing combo. Works great when clamped to stationary object, toolbox for me. I had no problems setting up and great materials for holding line nice and tight. Would definitely suggest to others. I didn't use suction cup, but as with most of them, if you use dish soap and clean it before use and then add a little water, they usually work great. Maybe another suggestion for others is to use a door, drawer slid out a little or counter top as it mounts easily to what I see could be many possibilities, just think outside of the box!...UPDATE! The suction clamp failed the 1st time I tried to use it while at lake to re-line friend's reels. The nut came out of it's slot in holder and suction pad would not hold, even after cleaning and using water. But when clamped to stationary object, it works great! Would still suggest to others due to price and quick delivery from Amazon.

All the reviews I have read stated the suction doesn't work. It's been my experience to add a little water to the cup for it to hold. This didn't work. I remember working in a factory there is a spray release agent, "silicon base" to release the item. I wiped the cup down with fingernail polish remover, "acetone 100%". It removed all of the release agent and tried it again. This time I couldn't pull it off the counter, even with both hands without breaking the base. The chrome piece that screws into the base must be locked down with the nut provided or it will break the base. Teflon taped added to the threads will help tremendously. With that said, this is a great purchase.
