I took a chance on these even though I seen all the reviews about them arriving deformed and sure enough these are completely unusable out of the box

After suffering a blow to one of my unprotected shins that left a scar, I consider shin guards essential equipment+ Fits entire bottom leg section without sliding down to protect shins and top of foot+ The padding covers the entire front half and does a great job of distributing impact evenly, it is purpose built to take hits!+ The Velcro straps are part of the main body with no chance of ripping off. This thing is built to last+ Between the cushioned front guard and the wide straps, it is exceedingly comfortable to wear for hours on end+ Very easy to put on and take off+ Leaves enough space to wear knee pads (not included) above it+ I am 5’9” with slightly longer legs, the large fits me perfectly with the top touching my knee bump

The shinguard part was fine. But the foot protection was all gnarled up and the leather was forever shaped that way and never went back. It sucked. I should have paid a few extra bucks and got a more reliable brand.

I've been using these for a while now and there is minimal wear and tear. Some of the text is a little scratched up but the padding is still just as good as it was on day 1.These are true to size so order as normal, and they have good hook and loop closures (Not traditional velcro but the stronger version of that for lack of better phrasing). My martial art style is based on defense to offense so in that respect I thing the construction on these is intended for a more aggressive style as the flexibility in the ankle is lacking. I don't like that you cant adjust the straps that go under your foot as they are just elastic strips so it makes getting them worn in to your body a little challenging but over time they will mold to fit. When impacted you can feel the impact but no pain or anything as these pads are THICK, veeeeery thick and very good with impact absorption. All in all given their intended purpose I'd give them a SOLID 10/10. For my style I'd say they're closer to a 7/10 because of flexibility and lack of body cling but as I said earlier, these are perfect for more aggressive styles.

My son really likes to wrestle and do MMA fighting. He has his garage all set up with mats and has fights in there. These protect his shins and his brother's when he's using him for practice, lol. They fit well and are comfortable. They are well made and sturdy to withstand a lot of kicks.
