High Density foam has a compression rate of 44lbs. It features the perfect amount of cushioning and stiffness. Its soft but still holds its firmness and support for an individual to sit on it without compressing the foam too much. COMPRESSION = FIRMNESS Compression (not density) is what determines firmness. If you dont want a cushion thats hard as a rock or a mattress that sinks when you sit on it, you have to check the compression or ILD number. Compression means the number of pounds necessary to compress a piece of foam 25% and still bounce back to the original thickness. For example, a 4" thick piece of foam that requires 33 lbs. to pack it down 1" and have it return to its full 4" thickness has a 33 lb. compression rating or (ILD) -Indention Load Deflection. - ALL FOAM SHEETS ARE SOLD PER SHEET - NOT PER YARD. DO NOT OPEN WITH A BOX CUTTER! USE A BALL POINT PEN OR A PENCIL. START BY MAKING A LITTLE INCISION AND BREAK IT FROM THERE - Durability : Will Last 7 to 10 Years

I wish I would have taken before pictures to show the transformation. After nine years, our cushions were really getting smooshed. The back cushion are unattached and only have poly fill with no foam support. They were constantly a mess! I cut this foam the same size as the original inserts and wrapped all of with quilt batting for a smooth look. It was a little tough getting it back in but with an extra set of hands it went much easier. I used both electric knife and scissors to cut it. Both worked fine. I did cut the edges to soften the square so it wouldn’t look boxy. We are so happy with the outcome. We have two 84-inch sofas and spent just under $300. If we replaced the sofas with same quality it would have cost $3800. It’s been 2 months and still feels like new furniture when sitting on it!Don’t skimp out on cheap foam-this high density foam gives the most professional look!

We bought this product to make a comfortable car camping bed. Was surprisingly easy to cut with an electric carving knife with zero mess. Seems that this will make camp sleeping luxurious, either in SUV or tent.

Bought this foam to make face shields. It’s perfect—doesn’t shed like the green stuff from JoAnne’s. Foam is just the right density and softness for this use, and I didn’t feel any weird chemicals when handling (unlike said green foam).Easy to mark and cut and fold into a drawer. The value is the best I’ve seen for how much you get!
